Senior Ecologist Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Senior Ecologist to join our team at Hunter Dunning in Truro, Cornwall. As a key member of our ecology department, you will be responsible for managing ecological assessments, site visits, and habitat surveys. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the direction of our business and potentially receive equity.

About the Role:

  • Lead ecological assessments and site visits
  • Manage habitat surveys and report writing
  • Coordinate with freelancers and consultants
  • Support the growth of our ecology department

Requirements:

  • Proven background in land ecology
  • Experience with bat habitat surveys and newt, badger, and dormice surveys
  • Bat habitat licence preferred
  • Experience with bio-diversity net gain and impact assessments
  • Chartered Ecologist status desirable

Benefits:
