The Opportunity

We're seeking a seasoned Community Manager to join our Marketing team, driving engagement and growth within our community. As a key player in this role, you'll develop and execute community-oriented communication strategies to elevate awareness and adoption of our products.

You'll work closely with our team to identify and partner with talented creators, amplify their voices, and support their growth. Your expertise will help us build strong relationships with our community, drive brand trust, and establish Mixcloud as a leader in the music streaming industry.

Your Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop and implement comprehensive community engagement plans to boost user acquisition and retention
  2. Lead community outreach efforts, building and maintaining relationships with key influencers, creators, and tastemakers
  3. Craft compelling content and messaging to resonate with our target audience, driving brand awareness and affinity
  4. Manage and moderate community forums, social media groups, and other online spaces to ensure a positive user experience
  5. Analyze community feedback, sentiment, and behavior to inform product development and marketing strategies
  6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to launch new features, campaigns, and initiatives that drive community growth and engagement
  7. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to continuously improve our community programs and strategies

Requirements

  1. Proven experience as a Community Manager or similar role in the music, entertainment, or technology industries
  2. Demonstrated expertise in community engagement, outreach, and moderation
  3. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collect, analyze, and act on community feedback
  4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt tone and style to resonate with diverse audiences
  5. Familiarity with online community tools, CRM systems, and social media platforms
  6. Creative problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple tasks independently in a fast-paced environment
  7. Collaborative mindset with the ability to work across departments while taking ownership of community-focused projects
  8. Confidence in articulating ideas and presenting to the wider company
  9. A growth mindset with a commitment to continuous learning and self-improvement
  10. Comfort working in a remote-first environment
  11. Based in the UK

Estimated Salary: £50,000 - £70,000 per year, depending on experience.
