About Us:
At Interaction Recruitment, we're seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our team in Newcastle. Our company specializes in maintaining cutting-edge material handling equipment, and we're looking for someone with experience in plant, mechanical, or hydraulic systems to help us keep our operations running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform routine inspections and maintenance on material handling equipment to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety standards.
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues to minimize equipment downtime.
Conduct necessary repairs and replace faulty components to maintain high productivity levels.
Work closely with team members to schedule and prioritize maintenance tasks, ensuring smooth operations.
Provide expert guidance and support to depot staff and clients, helping them solve technical challenges.
Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.

Requirements:

Proven experience in mechanical or hydraulic systems; experience with forklifts is a plus.
Strong problem-solving abilities and keen attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced setting.
A strong desire to expand your expertise in material handling equipment.

What We Offer:

Competitive Salary: £30,000 to £35,000, commensurate with experience.
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
Overtime Pay: Time and a half for overtime, double time on Sundays.
