We are seeking a highly skilled Data Protection and Compliance Specialist to join our team at IAG Loyalty. As a key member of our Legal Operations and Compliance Team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the company's compliance with applicable Data Protection Regulations.
The successful candidate will have a wide-ranging role, interacting with various stakeholders across the business, including the Growth Team, British Airways Holidays, and IAG Loyalty Retail. You will support the growth of the business by ensuring that a Privacy by Design approach is embedded in all new initiatives and projects.
Key Responsibilities- Data Privacy Governance: Support the Data Protection Officer in the development and implementation of the Data Privacy Programme and the maintenance of Data Protection Policies and guidelines across the various business units.
- Training and Awareness: Deliver training and awareness to IAG Loyalty colleagues to build a culture of Data Privacy within the company and its subsidiaries.
- Data Mapping and Register: Provide advice to colleagues across the different business units in relation to Data Privacy on new and existing projects, product proposals, new ventures, and business-as-usual activities. Provide advice, guidance, and input into Data Privacy Impact Assessments and Legitimate Interest Assessments, as well as ensuring all data protection principles are met, including transparency.
- Third Parties: Support the provision of data protection contractual terms when working with personal data from third parties, working closely with the Contracts Team, as well as due diligence processes with the Security Team.
- Data Breaches: Assist with the investigation of data breaches and complaints, working closely with the Risk Team and supporting the business.
We are looking for individuals who have a deep understanding of the data privacy landscape, pertinent approaches, and likely challenges. The ideal candidate will have:
- Knowledge of information technology and data management systems.
- Privacy and/or Information Security qualification (e.g. CIPP/E, CIPT, CISM).
- Using original thinking to find solutions to potential issues and using own discretion to find the balance between data protection compliance and the operational side of the processes.
- The ability to work remotely, be self-organised, prioritisation skills, and to independently manage the workload.
