Job Title: Senior Civil and Structural Engineer

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Civil and Structural Engineer to join our team at Technip Energies Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all civil and structural activities on various projects, including the preparation or review of specifications, standards, procedures, reports, sub-contract scope of works, planning, scheduling, progress reporting, supervision, geotechnical and site survey works, site preparation, and design of steel and concrete structures, underground services, and foundations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and check engineering procedures and standards.
  • Proficient in preparing and checking design deliverables including basis of design, specifications, calculations, reports, requisitions, input for Class 3 and 2 estimates, technical bid evaluations, and detailed engineering drawings.
  • Participate in project, client, and vendor meetings.
  • Provide input to Construction Sub-contract and evaluate bids.
  • Be prepared to travel in the UK and overseas for meetings, and site technical support to meet project requirements.
  • Participate in the development of proposals and bids for new projects.
  • Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure that project requirements are met.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure that construction work is being carried out in accordance with the design and specifications.
  • Manage project budgets and schedules and ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.

Requirements:
  1. Typically, has a HNC or degree in civil or structural engineering.
  2. Experience in a design engineering and plant design work environment.
  3. Civil & Structural engineering and design leadership experience in both small and large FEED and EPC projects.
  4. Experience in leading multi-office projects.
  5. Experienced engineer in all aspects of Civil & Structural Engineering in the Petrochemical and/or Refinery industry.
  6. Experienced in the production of 3D models with Tekla.
  7. UK Project Experience.
  8. Proficient in the use of engineering packages such as Staad pro, Tekla Building Designer, AutoCad, Revit, etc.
  9. Ability to work independently within a multi-discipline team including clients, subcontractors, and colleagues.
  10. Ability to travel to project sites as required.

Salary: £80,000 - £110,000 per annum depending on experience.
