Junior Merchandiser Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Junior Merchandiser to join our dynamic team at Ben Sherman's Head Office in Leeds. As a key member of our Merchandising team, you will play a vital role in supporting our buying and sales teams in managing our product lines and ensuring timely delivery of stock to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Trade and Planning: Present weekly trade reports for your area, highlighting any risks, movements, and anomalies to budget. Support the Head of Merchandising and Sales Team in building the annual sales and margin budget by customer and product category.
  • Inventory Management: Manage and maintain the order tracker, presenting any key changes to the wider team in weekly Trade meetings. Meet weekly with the buying team to manage the Critical Path, highlighting any risks to production and therefore budget.
  • Stock Management: Ensure the right stock is in the right place at the right time across all BSI channels. Assist the Head of Merchandising in producing size scales on a seasonal basis.
  • Order Processing: Raise purchase orders (bulk and samples) alongside the junior team members, adding this information to the tracker, issuing barcodes and shipping labels (where appropriate). Ensure all relevant information is correct and present in the system, including price lists, order quantities, and delivery dates where required.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Provide regular and ad-hoc reports for internal and external teams and customers. Assist the Merchandiser with range planning, including analysis of previous seasons' sales by pre-agreed attributes.
Requirements:
  • Relevant skills working within a B&M office - buying cycle, critical paths, and stock management.
  • Financial awareness and understanding of departmental budgets and margins.
  • Commercial and competitor awareness.
  • Strong housekeeping and organizational skills.
