Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Engineer to join our team at 1st Step Solutions. As a Mechanical Project Engineer, you will be responsible for leading and managing mechanical projects from start to finish. This includes attending and hosting team meetings, reviewing tender information, and delivering design and working drawings. You will also be responsible for managing procurement, value engineering, and programming of works and sub-contract packages.

Key Responsibilities:

- Attend and host team meetings to ensure effective communication and collaboration among team members.
- Review tender information, including design drawings, specifications, and equipment schedules, to ensure that all necessary requirements are met.
- Deliver design and working drawings necessary to deliver the project, ensuring that all costs and programme delays are captured.
- Manage procurement, value engineering, and better buying against tender allowances.
- Program the works and sub-contract packages, ensuring that all necessary deadlines are met.
- Produce and manage programmes, ensuring that all project milestones are achieved.
- Provide project reporting to the Project Manager, ensuring that all necessary information is provided in a timely manner.
- Manage installation and commissioning activities of assigned packages, ensuring that all necessary documentation is completed.
- Ensure that all variation costs are advised to the Project Manager and QS, and that cost control is maintained throughout the project.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in mechanical project management, with a strong understanding of project management principles and practices.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate team members.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues.
- Proficient in project management software, including MS Project and Asana.
