Vacancy Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Team Leader to join our dynamic and supportive team at West Berkshire Council. As a key member of our Adult Social Care team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the effective delivery of high-quality social care services to our local community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the team, ensuring the delivery of person-centred care and support
  • Act as a point of contact for both internal and external stakeholders, fostering positive working relationships
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of service improvement initiatives
  • Monitor and maintain compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures
  • Support the Locality Manager in the overall management of the service
Requirements
  • Occupational Therapist qualification
  • Previous experience in a similar leadership role within Adult Social Care
  • Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and best practice
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and collaborate with a diverse range of individuals
  • Excellent organisational and time management abilities, with the capacity to prioritise and delegate effectively
  • A compassionate and empathetic approach, with a genuine commitment to making a positive difference in people's lives
