Urology Nurse Specialist in Children's Safeguarding

We are seeking a skilled Urology Nurse Specialist to join our team at North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will work closely with our existing nurse specialists to provide high-quality care for patients with urological cancer.
Job DescriptionThis is a Band 7 position, working 22.5 hours per week on a permanent basis. Key responsibilities include ensuring a high standard of care for all patients, providing emotional and practical support before, during, and after treatment, and coordinating care to ensure seamless transitions throughout the patient journey.
Main Duties- Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to provide holistic care and coordinate services.
- Act as key worker for a clinical caseload, ensuring timely interventions and ongoing support.
- Develop pathways of care to optimize patient outcomes and enhance patient experience.

Required Skills and QualificationsTo be successful in this role, you must have a First degree in nursing or equivalent, with current registration. Desirable qualifications include a Urology/Oncology nursing certificate or equivalent, a relevant Masters degree or equivalent, and a Counselling certificate or equivalent. You should also have experience working in an in/outpatient environment that cares for patients with urological cancer, developing protocols and policy documents, and working as a core or extended member of an oncology MDT.
BenefitsWe offer a competitive salary, which is estimated to be around £42,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience.
