Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor

About the Role:

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor at GAMUDA LAND, you will play a crucial role in the management of tender estimates, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of construction projects. Your expertise will be instrumental in establishing net unit rates, cost estimates, and preparing enquiries for material, labour, and plant quotations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Assist in the management of tender estimates, including:
  • Monitoring the preparation of Bills of Quantities
  • Establishing net unit rates and cost estimates
  • Preparing enquiries for material, labour, and plant quotations
  • Site visits, site valuations, and reports
  • Liaison with external consultants
  • Inter-departmental coordination activities
  • Reviewing measurement of quantities and calculation
  • Total cost summary and reports
  • Supervising the compilation of tender documents
  • Submission of tenders
  • Tender review

2. Prepare Interim Certificate (based on Consultant's recommendation) for Contractors.
  • Assisting in cost control of Preliminary Budget throughout project phases
  • Assisting in monitoring the performance of Consultant Quantity Surveyors
  • Assessing the tender estimates of Consultant Quantity Surveyors
  • Assessing and reporting on the Tenderers' quotation
  • Preparing the department's estimated Budget for works specified

3. Assist site management in preparation of Variation Works and Progress Claims.

4. Monitoring and evaluating all RFVs, variation orders, contractual claims, and settlement of Final Account.

Requirements:

• Degree/Diploma/Certificate in Quantity Surveying/Building Technology
• Minimum 3 years' post-qualification experience in consultant firms or developers or main contractors
• Experience working on residential or commercial projects
• Eligible to work in the UK
• Good working knowledge of Pre and Post Contract Works
