Role Overview
This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Building Services Senior Electrical Engineer to join a leading international multi-disciplinary design consultancy in Central London. The company is one of the UK's Top Employers for 5 years in a row, according to the Top Employer Institute. Their team includes MEP (30 strong), Environmental Design & Sustainability, VT, and Architectural Design Lighting. They are involved in high-profile and prestigious projects all over the world across various sectors.

Responsibilities
  • Represent the company professionally at all times.
  • Provide discipline leadership.
  • Establish strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, the design team, authorities, utilities, and associated organisations.
  • Attend meetings with clients, project teams, contractors, etc.
  • Deliver high-quality electrical building services and power distribution systems designs, including calculations, analysis, schematics, drawings, diagrams, models, specifications, and other required documents.
  • Review and manage projects from inception to post-construction duties.

Skills and Qualifications
  • Required:
    • Able to demonstrate ability to undertake responsibilities.
    • Licensed to work in the country where the position is based.
    • Qualified as a Chartered Engineer or working towards Chartered status.
    • Solid technical understanding of own core engineering discipline and the role of the electrical engineer within the design team.
    • Broad understanding of other engineering disciplines engaged in the design of the built environment.
    • Good understanding of UK Building Regulations and industry standard design reference materials.
    • Ability to use Autodesk Revit, Amtech/Trimble, Dialux, and Microsoft Office suite.
    • Ability to use initiative in response to demands of the project.
    • Able to negotiate and communicate well in graphical, written, or verbal forms, including ability to listen and understand others.
    • Able to understand and formulate design decisions.
    • Excellent organisational skills.
    • Developed problem-solving and analytical skills.
    • Able to manage sensitive and sometimes confidential information.
    • Self-motivated and able to take responsibility.
    • Able to demonstrate initiative and a proactive approach to daily tasks.
    • Good interpersonal skills and able to work independently and as part of an effective team.
    • Flexible attitude.
    • Able to build good relationships at all levels, internally and externally.
    • Resilient to cope with conflicting demands, able to prioritise duties, and work effectively under pressure.
    • Able to work as part of an effective team, assisting and supporting team members.
  • Desirable:
    • International project experience.
    • LEED qualified or having working familiarity with environmental assessment methods.
    • Familiarity with CIBSE design standards.
    • Ability to use some of the following software applications: IES, Elevate, AGI, Relux, Hevacomp, Adobe Creative Suite.
    • Mandarin, Cantonese, or mainland European language skills.

Benefits and Salary

The estimated salary for this position is £80,000 - £100,000 per annum, depending on experience.
