SEN Teaching Assistant Opportunity

£85-£95 per day

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to support students with special needs in a 2 form entry school.

The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for supporting students and experience within education, with a focus on Key Stage 1 and working with children with mild Autism.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the teacher in the classroom, ensuring the learning objectives are met and general classroom tasks are completed.
  • Provide individualized support to students with special needs, promoting their academic and personal growth.
  • Collaborate with the teaching staff to develop and implement effective learning strategies.
  • Assist with lesson planning, preparation, and delivery, as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a positive and supportive learning environment.

Requirements:

  • Experience working in Key Stage 1.
  • Experience working with children with mild Autism.
  • SEND experience/knowledge (desirable).
  • Strong passion for supporting students with special needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
