Mental Health Support Opportunity
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Support Worker to join our team at a specialist SEMH school in Barking and Dagenham.
The ideal candidate will have experience in supporting students with complex mental health needs, including anxiety, depression, and challenging behaviour.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support a small class of students with emotional and mental health needs
- Work closely with the teaching team to deliver learning objectives and provide pastoral support
- Use resources to help students engage in lessons and build positive relationships
Person Specification:
- Previous experience in supporting students with SEN, mental health, and challenging behaviour
- Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and ability to risk assess
- Reliable, punctual, and able to build rapport with individual pupils
