Electrical Engineer - Water Infrastructure Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team in the Southern Water region. As an Electrical Engineer - Water Infrastructure Specialist, you will lead the electrical engineering elements of water infrastructure projects, from design through to implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the electrical engineering elements of water infrastructure projects, from design through to implementation.
  2. Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure smooth and integrated project execution.
  3. Supervise on-site installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems to ensure compliance with specifications and safety regulations.
  4. Provide technical expertise to resolve electrical engineering challenges and ensure project continuity.
  5. Ensure all projects meet industry standards, regulatory requirements, and client expectations.
  6. Prepare project documentation, progress reports, and technical submissions.

Requirements:

  1. Demonstrated experience as an Electrical Engineer, ideally within the water sector or related industries.
  2. In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, industry standards, and engineering best practices.
  3. Strong project management and organisational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  4. Relevant engineering qualifications (e.g., BEng/MEng in Electrical Engineering) and professional certifications.
  5. Knowledge of Southern Water Framework or similar utility frameworks is a plus.
