Cambridgeshire County Council Targeted Support Service provides assistance to families, with a team consisting of Family Workers, Child and Family Centre workers, Young People's Workers, Senior Transitions Advisors, Transitions Advisors, Client Researchers, and managers.

About the Role

This dynamic position involves delivering early intervention support to reduce the risk of harm and escalation of problems. The aim is to keep families together and achieve positive outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Using a whole family approach, provide individualised support to families in their homes and within the community.
  2. Complete Early Help Assessments (EHA's) and act as Lead Professional for each family.
  3. Organise, plan, and deliver evidence-based group work programmes to support parents/carers on topics like parenting, childhood development, domestic abuse, and healthy relationships.

To be successful, you will have:

  • A good understanding of child development, signs of abuse and neglect, and child protection legislations, policies, and procedures.
  • The ability to conduct assessments and create plans that promote positive outcomes.
  • Knowledge of providing direct support to vulnerable families and evidence-based programmes.

Educational Requirements

Degree in Social Work or related field

Salary

£35,000 - £40,000 per annum
