Job DescriptionJob Duties:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing tailored support and tuition to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in the subjects of English and Maths at a GCSE level. Key duties include developing individualised learning plans, delivering engaging lessons, assessing student progress, and providing feedback and support to help students achieve their academic goals.

Required Qualifications:

A relevant teaching qualification

Experience working with students with SEN

Strong knowledge of the GCSE English and Maths curriculum

Education:

A degree in Education or a related field

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience, preferably in a SEN setting

Knowledge and Skills:

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of students with SEN

Strong organisational and time-management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Additional qualifications in Special Education Needs (SEN)

Working Conditions:

This role will involve working with students on a one-to-one basis. The tutor may need to travel to different locations within the East of England area to provide tuition. The working hours are full-time, and flexibility may be required to accommodate students' schedules.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
