About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled professional to work on automation and business IT systems in a fast-paced environment.

You will be responsible for performing planned and reactive maintenance support to ensure minimal downtime and efficient plant operation.

A key aspect of this role is taking ownership of automation-related activities, including improvements and changes to site systems, and ensuring all activities align with EHS, GMP, GAMP, and other regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Performing routine and corrective maintenance on plant automation and business IT systems.
  • Carrying out continuous improvement of automated systems and investigating new technologies to enhance and improve business automation.
  • Developing solutions to address reliability issues related to obsolescence, equipment failure, or operational limitations.
  • Implementing identified changes, replacements, and improvements in line with business requirements and regulatory standards.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have a strong background in technically focused fields and relevant industry experience.

  • Degree qualified in a technically focused subject.
  • Member of an engineering body working towards chartership.
  • Proven experience leading Automation/IT projects and maintenance.
  • Strong understanding of automation, controls, and production IT systems.
  • High level of technical understanding of PLC, HMI, and SCADA programming.
  • Knowledge of GAMP and pharmaceutical processes/equipment requirements, including Quality and EHS standards.
Working Conditions

This is an office-based role with occasional time spent at suppliers' sites and on-site visits. You may be required to participate in an on-call shift pattern to provide critical business support during non-standard hours.
