Parts Advisor Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Parts Advisor to join our team at TOTAL TECHNOLOGY (ENGINEERING) LIMITED in Edinburgh. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for assisting customers in a professional manner, achieving sales targets, and performing administrative duties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process daily cash paperwork and prepare banking, including petty cash.
  • Monitor stock movements and deliveries, and raise invoices/credit notes accurately.
  • Perform general administrative duties as required.
  • Sell and promote all trailers/parts, serving customers at the counter, off-site, or over the telephone.
  • Advise and take orders for trailer hire/towbar fitting, liaising with the workshop team.
  • Be trained and drive a Fork Lift Truck if required.

Requirements:

  • Previous motor trade experience.
  • At least 12 months experience in a customer-facing role, such as a trade counter, parts advisor, or service desk.
  • Able to work to sales targets.
  • Full driving licence is essential.
