Job Description

This is a unique Operations Manager role within NRS Healthcare.

As an Operations Manager, you'll be central to the success of our service centre operations. Your role will be to drive, maintain, and improve best practice operational standards, supporting the General Manager in achieving excellence. You'll set the tone for your team and the wider organisation.

Your responsibilities will include leading the transport team to ensure NRS Healthcare runs its operations as efficiently and professionally as possible. You'll proactively manage and motivate drivers to achieve planned targets and deadlines. You'll also act as an escalation point to resolve issues promptly and manage out-of-hours amendments, planning, and forecasting.

You'll conduct daily briefings and debriefs of the transport team and perform full line management duties, including monitoring sickness and absence. You'll promote a culture of Health and Safety adherence, including reporting near misses and incidents. You'll also ensure the accuracy and efficiency of delivery documents and oversee reporting and monitoring, including tachograph and time and labour reporting.

To excel in this role, you'll need proven expertise and experience in a managerial role within a transport/logistics environment. Your knowledge of transport best practices, transport planning, reporting, and monitoring, as well as transport/logistics systems and processes, will be vital. You'll be a strong team player, supporting the delivery of common business goals, setting and maintaining high standards of work, and managing your team effectively. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including written, oral, and presentational abilities, will be essential.
