Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Chemical Maintenance Technician to join our team at EU119 Vishay Newport Ltd. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our Chemical Dispensing Machinery and Spec Gas panels and cabinets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and non-routine maintenance on Chemical Dispensing Machinery and Spec Gas panels and cabinets to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Ensure uninterrupted supply of gas and chemical materials to prevent tool downtime and maintain production schedules.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision, utilizing your initiative and strong work ethic to resolve issues and complete tasks.
  • Provide technical support to the fabrication team regarding chemical and gas-related issues.

Requirements

  • Hold a qualification in an engineering-related discipline.
  • Develop and apply troubleshooting skills to resolve complex issues.
  • Demonstrate a strong desire to learn and progress within chemical and gas maintenance.
  • Experience working with pressurized pumps or systems is essential.
  • Ability to work fixed 12-hour shifts, including evenings and weekends, as required.
  • Possess chemical awareness and handling skills, with experience working with toxic and highly flammable gases.
  • Previous experience in cleanroom environments is advantageous.
  • Comprehensive understanding of gas and chemical requirements.
  • Proven experience in leak checking and IOSHH training.
  • Background in engineering, with a strong foundation in technical principles.
