Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at The Fresh Produce Centre Ltd. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, ensuring the highest quality of fresh produce.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a comprehensive Quality Assurance service, assessing and reporting on the quality of our products, and communicating with line management and customers to ensure premium quality from production to dispatch.

You will work closely with the production team to ensure that all products meet our customer requirements and specifications, inspecting pallets of produce on arrival, recording details, and taking samples as necessary.

Responsibilities
  • Assess and report on product quality through visual, sensory, and technical tests.
  • Communicate quality issues to line management and ensure products meet customer requirements.
  • Inspect pallets of produce on arrival, record details, and take samples as necessary.
  • Generate intake reports and email relevant information to suppliers and site teams.
  • Provide timely and accurate label service to the production team, printing labels according to customer specifications.
Requirements
  • A minimum of one year's experience within a quality-related function in fresh produce.
  • Ability to understand and interpret specifications for routine decision making.
  • Determined and flexible outlook, able to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work flexibly, independently, and as part of a close-knit team.
