About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled AWS Platform Engineer to join our team at Coatue Management L.L.C. As an AWS Cloud Infrastructure Specialist, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing scalable and secure cloud-based infrastructure solutions using Amazon Web Services (AWS).

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud computing, experience with AWS services such as IAM, S3, EC2, EKS, RDS, MSK, and Lambda, and a proven track record of delivering high-quality infrastructure solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Champion best practices for monitoring and observability in AWS.
  • Work with Information Security to improve the systems used to test releases for security issues on AWS.
  • Develop and maintain best practices around use of cloud technology (AWS) across the organization.
  • Help build and follow Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Service Level Objectives (SLOs) for engineering platform infrastructure on AWS.
  • Experience administering/securing AWS organizations and multi-account, multi-region network topologies (AWS VPC and Transit Gateway).
  • An understanding of AWS services and technologies such as IAM, S3, EC2, EKS, RDS, MSK, and Lambda.
  • Experience coding in one or more of the following: Java, Scala, Golang, Python, or shell scripting.
  • Experience monitoring production systems (DataDog, Prometheus, etc.) using AWS services.
  • Experience with tuning Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMSs) like PostgreSQL.
  • Have a strong interest in cryptocurrencies or be willing to learn about this exciting field.
