Job Title: Higher Level Teaching Assistant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our team in providing high-quality education and support to students. This role is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist teachers in the planning and delivery of engaging and effective lessons.
  • Support individual and small groups of students to enhance their learning experience.
  • Cover classes and deliver pre-planned lessons in the absence of the teacher.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff to develop and implement individualised learning plans.
  • Provide feedback to students and help track their academic progress.
  • Assist in managing classroom behaviour and creating a positive learning environment.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and continuous professional development opportunities.
  • Contribute to the overall ethos and values of the school.

Requirements:

  • HLTA status or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience working in a secondary school setting.
  • Strong knowledge of the secondary school curriculum KS3-KS4.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
