About the Job

We are recruiting a Laboratory Technician to work within our Quality Department at AW Hainsworth and Sons Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining our internal/external production and R & D testing, with a focus on fabric testing.

The salary for this role is competitive and depends on experience. We offer a range of benefits, including holidays, performance related bonus, and simply health cash plan.

We are looking for someone with excellent communication and report writing skills, as well as experience in laboratory testing and textile technology. A qualified scientist or relevant subject would be an advantage.

Job Description:
  • Carry out technical testing of fabric to UKAS Standards
  • Participate in site technical projects and quality improvement activities
  • Offer information and advice regarding testing processes etc.
Requirements:
  • Qualified in Science or relevant subject (e.g Textile technology)
  • Experienced lab technician with good understanding of textile testing standards
  • Good communication and report writing skills
  • Able to use MS word and excel
