Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Procurement Specialist to join our team at ASC Connections Ltd. As a key member of our Purchasing team, you will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing a range of sub-contract components, including castings, to support our manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Purchasing of sub-contract components, including castings, to meet production requirements and demand plans.
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of materials.
- Creating and managing works orders within our manufacturing systems.
- Assisting in the development of our supplier base by measuring key performance metrics.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a buyer or procurement specialist in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications to issue quotes for materials and components.
- Proficiency in the use of computer systems, including SAP, to manage purchasing and supply chain activities.
- Proactive and forward-thinking attitude with excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
