Repairs and Maintenance Supervisor

An exciting chance to lead repairs and maintenance initiatives within the Estates Division has emerged at the University of Cambridge.
Key Responsibilities:
• Authorise orders and approve variations, ensuring value for money and compliance with Standard Orders (SoR's).
• Provide technical support to the Customer Contact Centre, facilitating smooth works delivery.
• Collaborate with Housing Managers as needed, ensuring seamless communication.
Order Approvals:
Review and approve high-value orders, variations, and completed works before invoicing.
Quality Assurance:
Lead quality assurance efforts, including site visits with contractors, pre- and post-inspections, and KPI communication with stakeholders.
Works Delivery:
Ensure timely completion of works, monitoring progress through weekly Work-In-Progress (WIP) reports.
Contractor Management:
Enforce adherence to the Contractor Code of Conduct and Service Level Agreements (SLAs), leading contract progress meetings to manage performance.
Complaint and Query Lead:
Manage complaints related to repairs from inception, serving as an escalation point for repairs and void teams.
