Packaging Technologist Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Packaging Technologist to join our team at Pineapple Contracts. As a Packaging Technologist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing cost-effective, sustainable, and innovative packaging solutions for our furniture products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop new packaging solutions in response to project briefs
  • Liaise with marketing, purchasing, and production teams to ensure effective packaging solutions
  • Identify opportunities to reduce costs while maintaining quality and practicality
  • Run trials to test packaging for suitability and performance
  • Control production and quality standards, including reporting packaging that doesn't meet these standards
Requirements:
  • Formal education in Packaging Engineering, Packaging Technology, or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrable knowledge of packaging materials, manufacturing processes, and industry trends
  • Excellent administrative skills with competent use of Microsoft Office and Adobe suite
