The Role

We are seeking an experienced Data Architect to join our team, reporting to the Applications Development Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing our cutting-edge data warehouse using Microsoft Fabric and Power BI.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Data Warehouse Management: Design and implement a scalable, efficient, and secure data warehouse that integrates critical data from various sources, including flight operations, parts inventory, financial systems, HR, training, and other essential organisational data.
  2. Reporting and Visualization: Develop and maintain advanced reporting and data visualisation solutions using Power BI, leveraging the data warehouse to provide actionable insights to stakeholders at all levels.
  3. Leadership and Communication: Lead communication of 'what's possible' while being a catalyst for MAFI maturation/adoption and serve as a bridge between business requirements and IT solutions for data.
  4. Team Management: Build a Data Architecting/Scientist capability and line manage more junior members if required.

Requirements
  1. A relevant degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  2. Extensive experience in data architecture, data warehousing, cloud technologies, data visualisation, and strategy.
  3. Deep expertise in Microsoft Fabric and Power BI, with a proven track record of designing and implementing complex data warehousing solutions.
  4. Exceptional project management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive successful outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
  5. Familiarity with agile methodologies and risk management in IT projects.
