Job Summary:

  • Manage a programme of work that integrates with the engineering design programme for a submarine project.
  • Develop a project management organisation system of work, establishing ways of working and managing a diverse range of activities across a large team in a complex programme.
  • Develop a project management operating model that supports the needs of the programme as it transitions through design and into build.
  • Work closely with Engineering, Planning, Infrastructure and Supply Chain to maintain alignment of requirements and plans.
  • Manage risk and opportunities that will deliver the optimum build strategy and schedule.
  • Report, govern and manage resources for the team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive project management experience within a highly governed and multi-disciplinary environment.
  • Communicate clearly to senior stakeholders in complex situations and where there is programme uncertainty.
  • Have a good understanding of Earned Value Management (EVM), managing budgets, schedules and performance.
  • Experience of growing and developing a team professionally.
