As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand their infrastructure requirements and develop self-service platform services and tooling that enable them to deploy and operate their own production services and products. You will also be responsible for monitoring platform services, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing automation and education initiatives to enhance developer productivity.
Key Responsibilities- Design and implement scalable, reliable, and secure infrastructure solutions to support business growth
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand infrastructure requirements and develop self-service platform services and tooling
- Monitor platform services, identify areas for improvement, and implement automation and education initiatives
- Develop and maintain high-quality code, following software engineering principles and best practices
- Provide guidance and coaching to junior engineers, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development
- Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, including AWS, Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure
- Experience with containerization, orchestration, and service mesh technologies
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Go, Python, or Java
- Knowledge of configuration management tools, such as Terraform or Ansible
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools, such as Jenkins or GitLab CI/CD
- Strong Linux and TCP/IP networking skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
