The Role

As a Manager, Real Estate, you will support Senior Managers and Heads of Real Estate in running the Digital Legal Delivery Real Estate team. You will focus on service delivery, project management, supervision, quality control, pricing, and technology use. Your role requires an entrepreneurial mind-set and flexible approach, scoping new matters, conducting fee-earning work, and supervising teams.

You will foster relationships with internal and external clients, grow and develop the team, and collaborate with other Managers to deliver UK-based work for the London Real Estate team and external clients. This involves setting up new matters, conducting fee-earning work directly, and supervising teams. You may also be asked to assist in preparing pitch documents and attending client presentations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Efficiently dealing with own fee-earning workload.
  • Supervising Senior Solicitors, Solicitors, Trainees, and Legal Analysts, conducting 'first-level review' on projects as necessary.
  • Dealing with escalated points and complex issues raised by the team.
  • Escalating project-specific issues to relevant Senior Managers/Heads of Real Estate.
  • Maintaining updated knowledge as an 'expert' in specialist areas of practice.
  • Supporting drafting, updating, and revising internal materials and processes related to real estate practice, making recommendations for service delivery improvements.
  • Assisting with written material or cost models for pitches and marketing initiatives if required.
  • Project managing individual matters, communicating with internal or external clients, ensuring relevant legal issues are understood, and managing resources effectively.
  • Liaising with teams elsewhere in the firm as required on fee-earning or other projects.
  • Promoting and selling the Digital Legal Delivery Real Estate offering to internal clients through high-quality work and positive internal relationships.
  • Line management responsibility for Senior Solicitors, Solicitors, Trainees, and Legal Analysts.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Admitted as a solicitor in England and Wales or Northern Ireland, willing to requalify if not qualified in England and Wales.
  • 5+ years PQE gained in the Real Estate practice area unless exceptional circumstances exist.
  • Proven track-record of supervising and coordinating a real estate team, with experience across asset management, real estate investment, and development transactions.
  • Highly desirable is a proven track-record of senior-level experience in mid-high value sales, purchases, real estate finance, and investment.
  • Preferred, but not essential, is experience in the energy sector.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of approximately £90,000 - £120,000 per annum based on location and qualifications. The actual salary will be discussed during the hiring process.
