We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Controls Specialist to join our team at Imerys Aluminates in West Thurrock. As a key member of our industrial engineering team, you will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and improving electrical and automation equipment and systems for our industrial/production site.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage and execute electrical, automation, and instrumentation work, including inspection, auditing, calibration, spare parts, drawings, risk assessments, and reactive & preventive maintenance.
- Operate, manage, and maintain Siemens automation systems, including fault finding, programming, and updating.
- Manage ECI compliance and statutory activities, including fixed wire testing, HV maintenance, earthing tests, PAT, arc flash testing, etc.
- Work on and manage high voltage (HV) network and drives.
- Manage ECI projects, including designs, specifications, documentation, contract management, installation, commissioning, spare parts, and training.
- Participate in training, development, and appointment of other industrial engineers.
- Strong understanding of industrial electrical, control, and instrumentation systems, including valves, sensors, probes, and control circuits.
- Proven experience of fault finding, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills.
- Degree in Electrical/Electronic/Control/Automation Engineering or related engineering discipline.
- Experience of programming, editing, and fault finding on Siemens systems (PCS7), SCADA systems (WinCC), and communication networks.
- Strong understanding and experience of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and process systems.
- Ability to use AutoCAD and Trimble.
- Hold a Health and Safety NEBOSH or IOSH Certification.
