Dornan Engineering is seeking an experienced Electrical Construction Manager to lead our team on a large Data Centre project in the UK. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing and supervising personnel on site, ensuring the highest standards of safety and quality are maintained.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Project Manager in managing and supervising personnel on site.
  • Lead by example, setting and enforcing standards of safety and quality.
  • Assume leadership on site, ensuring the work is carried out safely and professionally.
  • Manage labour resources on site, ensuring efficiency and effective use of materials.
  • Manage subcontractor activities, tracking progress against schedule and ensuring performance issues are addressed.
  • Maintain performance management of supervision and other personnel under your remit.
  • Ensure materials are checked and match the project specification prior to installation on site.
  • Implement the project quality plan, ensuring all snag lists are closed out in a timely fashion.
  • Support the project handover to the client, ensuring all project items are closed out.

Requirements:

  • Trade or degree qualified in an electrical or electrical discipline.
  • Proven track record in electrical contracting, with at least 5 years in a construction management position.
  • Previous experience in Data Centre construction projects.
  • Excellent people management skills, with the ability to motivate your team and manage subcontractors on site.
  • Strong knowledge of the design and construction process.
