Support Worker for Young Person with Autism

ABOUT THE ROLE

Dewis CIL is seeking a highly skilled and caring Support Worker to join our team and provide 2:1 support to a young person with Autism.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the young person's safety and well-being at all times, including during social outings and in the community.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Providing 2:1 support to the young person during social outings and in the community
  • Ensuring the young person's safety and well-being at all times
  • Encouraging and praising the young person to build their confidence
  • Supervising the young person's behavior in public
  • Helping the young person develop healthy boundaries with others

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Considerate and caring with a patient approach
  • Friendly and approachable
  • Confident and proactive
  • Ability to drive or access a car for transportation

IDEAL CANDIDATE
