Job Title: Building Architect

We are seeking a talented and experienced professional to support the interface between our Data Scientists and various departments/functions, shaping insight requests for consideration by the lab.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Gather business requirements for analytics assignments and develop detailed business cases for priority projects.
  • Support business stakeholders in defining and reviewing requirements and use cases, capturing key assumptions and enhancing their understanding of the benefits of analytic opportunities.
  • Contribute to demand management and prioritisation of the analytics project portfolio at a strategic, operational and tactical level.
  • Liaise with line managers to divert incoming analytics requests to other WMP functions where relevant.
  • Work with the Principal Data Scientist to ensure solutions meet business requirements and support alignment between model outputs/visualisation and original business issue/question.
  • Develop approaches for monitoring outcomes of analytic insights and define metrics/KPIs in conjunction with the originating business unit.
  • Prepare Data Protection Impact Assessments to support commissioning briefs.
Requirements:
  • Substantial experience in business case development, requirements gathering and benefits measurement.
  • Excellent report writing and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrable experience of building solid working relationships.
Working Arrangements:

Appointment to this role will be dependent upon successfully passing Management Vetting and Security Clearance scrutiny, including a full background and financial disclosure as part of the vetting process.

Appointment to this role will also be dependent upon successfully passing medical checks, which may include a drugs test and if required a fitness test.
