Job Title: Clinical Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Lead to join our team at New Horizons Care. As a Clinical Lead, you will play a key role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to our clients.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Liaise with referrers and complete potential Client Pre-Support Assessments in partnership with the Services Development Manager.
  • Monitor, record, and report changes in Clients' conditions, maintaining accurate and up-to-date detailed reports, records, and documents.
  • Identify training needs and conduct clinical training for Support Workers on an individual and group basis.
  • Lead clinical training sessions, including PEG, Medication, Epilepsy, Buccal, Tracheostomy, etc.
  • Conduct clinical supervisions and competency assessments, creating and updating clinical care plans and MAR charts.
  • Complete relevant audits, helping to prepare for CQC and other inspections.
  • Provide clinical guidance and support to all Support Workers employed by New Horizons Care.
  • Assist the Registered Manager in being compliant with all regulatory standards, including the Care Quality Commission Fundamental Standards, Environmental Health, etc.
Requirements:
  • Must have a current Nursing PIN and keep it up to date via Revalidation.
  • Have a good understanding of the Health and Social Care Act, Mental Health Act, Mental Capacity Act (MCA), Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (Best Interest), etc.
  • Be able to work with the Registered Manager during Care Quality Commission inspections, Clinical Commissioning Group inspections, and Council Contract Monitoring reviews.
