About the Role

Falkirk Council is seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Housing Support Assistant. This is an exciting opportunity to work with vulnerable adults in a housing support service, delivering trauma-informed support and making a positive impact on their lives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver person-centered support to residents of the Castings, working alongside an established team to provide a safe and supportive environment.
  • Assist residents with daily tasks, promoting independence and well-being.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with residents, their families, and other stakeholders to ensure comprehensive support.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of individual support plans, ensuring residents' needs are met.
  • Collaborate with other services to ensure a seamless and effective support network.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of homelessness, the benefits system, and welfare rights.
  • Familiarity with the SSSC codes of practice.
  • Ability to work towards or be educated to SVQ Level 3 in Social Care or equivalent.
  • Willingness to obtain and maintain PVG scheme membership.
