Aerodynamicist Role

Aston Martin Formula One Team is seeking a skilled Aerodynamicist to join our team and contribute to the development of our current and future race cars.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the team to improve aerodynamic performance through effective analysis and design
  • Work with wind tunnel and computational fluid dynamics data to identify areas for improvement
  • Develop and iterate new geometric solutions using computer-aided design
  • Communicate with design groups to ensure aerodynamic intent is realized
  • Participate in wind tunnel testing and contribute to the development of aerodynamic development methodologies

Requirements:

  • Excellent engineering degree with a specialization in aerodynamics or equivalent
  • Strong understanding of aerodynamics and ability to apply knowledge
  • Prior experience in high-level aerodynamics, preferably in Formula 1
  • Strong work ethic and ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Keen eye for detail and high standard of quality
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
