Job Title: Manufacturing Manager

Major Recruitment Telford is seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Manager to join our client's team on a permanent basis.

About the Role:

The Manufacturing Manager will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and direction to the production activities of the factory. This includes:

  • People management and development
  • Safety, quality, cost, and delivery (SQCD)
  • Attainment of production plan
  • Consultation with Sales and operations
  • Developing the team using skills matrices
  • 5S deployment leadership and coaching
  • Problem-solving and corrective action cycles
  • Providing cover for Operations Manager
  • Collaboration with other departments
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 7+ years of manufacturing/production technical knowledge
  • Proficiency in computer programs such as MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Strong leadership and training abilities
  • Working knowledge of SME culture and practices
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, manufacturing management, or similar
  • Lean Management and continuous improvement
  • Analytical problem-solving skills
  • Project Management ability
