About this role

We are seeking an experienced Social Worker to join our Integrated Care Service, working alongside a team of highly engaged and creative Social Workers. The successful candidate will be supported by Consultant Social Workers and Team Managers, and will have the opportunity to develop and continue their social work journey with the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham.

The role will involve providing case management, guidance, support, and expert advice to other Social Care Staff and students, as well as working collaboratively within a multi-agency/multi-professional setting. The successful candidate will have gained experience in working with statutory agencies, health service colleagues, Police, and Third Sector organisations.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide case management, guidance, support, and expert advice to other Social Care Staff and students
  • Work collaboratively within a multi-agency/multi-professional setting
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with service users, carers, and other stakeholders
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of social work policies and procedures

Requirements

  • Experience of working as a Social Worker in a similar role
  • Knowledge of the Care Act 2014 and the principles of 'Making Safeguarding Personal'
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multi-agency/multi-professional setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
