Job Description

This Band 7 Clinical Specialist role presents an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic Stroke Therapy Team at the James Paget University Hospital. As a key member of the multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to patients admitted with acute stroke or brain injury. Your clinical expertise and leadership skills will be instrumental in shaping the service, driving quality improvement, and ensuring seamless discharge planning.

You will have the opportunity to develop your skills in every phase of inpatient stroke rehabilitation, working closely with physiotherapists, rehabilitation assistants, and apprentices to deliver comprehensive care. With a focus on team working and collaborative practice, you will be encouraged to contribute to service development, lead on audit and service improvement initiatives, and mentor junior staff.

As a leader within our Integrated Therapies Department, you will be responsible for implementing policy and policy changes in your clinical area, influencing the whole Therapy Service, and contributing to regional stroke and neurology networks.
