Maternity Ward Manager

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Maternity Ward Manager to join our team at University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Maternity Department, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operational management of our maternity ward and team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality midwifery and obstetric services.
Main Responsibilities- Provide expert midwifery care and lead a multi-disciplinary team of staff in accordance with University Hospitals Sussex (UHSx) Policies and Standards.
- Assess, plan, and implement midwifery care for a defined group of women throughout the childbirth continuum.
- Work closely with other health professionals to ensure continuity of care.
- Manage the efficient running of the ward on a shift-to-shift basis, with associated specialist knowledge, supervision, and monitoring requirements.
- Coordinate care activity within the acute and community setting.
- Participate in the duties of Manager on-call, involving rostered on-call shifts to support the operational management of SRH & Worthing over a 24-hour period.
