Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Installation Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing and configuring software in various customer and PSI environments. Your primary objective will be to ensure seamless software installations, while also enhancing the installation process through automation, improved documentation, and DevOps methodologies and tools.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install and configure software in Linux and Windows Server environments, utilizing basic bash scripting and batch scripting skills;
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts using Python, Ansible, and PowerShell;
  • Collaborate with internal teams and customers to plan and coordinate software installations;
  • Implement containerization technologies like Docker to improve installation efficiency;
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support, ensuring timely resolution of software-related issues;
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve installation processes.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience with database design and Oracle administration;
  • Familiarity with Jira and the metals industry, supply chain management, production planning, or manufacturing execution systems;
  • Ability to travel occasionally as needed.
