Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic audiologist to join our dynamic Audiology team at University Hospitals Bristol NHS Foundation Trust.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a newly qualified or experienced audiologist to take the next step in their career, working as an autonomous practitioner delivering specialized audiology assessments and treatments while managing their own patient caseload.

  • This role involves supervision, training, and upskilling of staff including associate and assistant practitioners, as well as students.
  • As a key member of the multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing expert audiology assessments and treatments, managing and prioritizing your own patient caseload, and collaborating with colleagues to deliver high-quality care.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Deliver specialist audiology services, including assessments, treatments, and rehabilitation plans.
  2. Supervise, train, and develop staff members, ensuring they meet required standards.
  3. Collaborate with colleagues across the trust to ensure seamless delivery of patient care.
  4. Develop and maintain effective relationships with patients, families, and other stakeholders.
  5. Participate in clinical education and training programs to stay up-to-date with best practices.

Person Specification
  • Holds a degree in Audiology or related field and is registered with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC) or Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow (RCCP).
  • Has evidence of relevant knowledge and skills developments in all areas of the advertised role.
  • Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and colleagues.

Estimated salary: £31,926.23 per annum based on a 37.5 hour week.
