About the Role

The Pastry Sous Chef will be responsible for assisting the Pastry Chef in developing and implementing menus and recipes, ensuring the highest quality standards in the pastry kitchen.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Pastry Chef to create innovative pastry items and menus, ensuring consistency in production and presentation.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the pastry kitchen, maintaining efficiency and high-quality standards.
  • Conduct regular taste tests and quality checks to ensure adherence to recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications.
  • Manage inventory of pastry ingredients and supplies, monitoring and controlling costs to minimize waste and optimize budget use.
  • Assist the Pastry Chef in supervising and guiding pastry colleagues, providing training and support as needed.

About You

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar role, with excellent knowledge of food trends, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements.
