About the Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Project Planning Coordinator with experience using Primavera P6. The ideal candidate will support the planning, scheduling, and coordination of projects under the guidance of a Senior Planner or Project Manager.

This role offers an opportunity to gain valuable experience in project planning, scheduling, and control, while working within a collaborative project team environment.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Scheduling: Develop, monitor, and update project schedules using Primavera P6 to ensure alignment with project objectives and timelines.
  • Progress Tracking: Track project progress and update schedules with actual dates, reporting on deviations or slippages to support proactive project management.
  • Resource Allocation: Assist in planning and allocating resources (labor, materials, equipment) within Primavera P6 to optimize productivity and meet project milestones.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Generate schedule performance reports, including Earned Value, critical path, and variance analysis, to provide insights into project performance and potential risks.
  • Coordination: Collaborate with project teams, including engineers, contractors, and stakeholders, to ensure alignment on project objectives and schedule updates.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of project schedules, adjustments, and related documentation, ensuring compliance with organizational standards and policies.
  • Risk Management: Support the identification of schedule risks and assist in developing mitigation strategies to prevent schedule delays.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve scheduling processes, tools, and templates to increase efficiency and accuracy in project planning.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience: 1+ years of experience in project planning, scheduling, or a related role, ideally within construction, engineering, or a similar industry.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Primavera P6 is required. Familiarity with Microsoft Project, Excel, and other project management software is a plus.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong attention to detail with the ability to analyze project data, identify trends, and develop actionable insights.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work effectively, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Interpersonal Skills: A collaborative and proactive team player with a positive attitude and the ability to work well with diverse project teams.
