BDS (Northern) Limited is a reputable organization that offers an exciting opportunity for a Housing & Care Manager to join their team at an extra care scheme in the SM1 area of Sutton. The successful candidate will be responsible for the operational management and quality of the care services within the scheme, ensuring high standards are continuously meeting resident needs.
The role involves working with residents, housing providers, local authorities, and stakeholders to promote a positive atmosphere within the Court while encouraging social interaction and reducing isolation. To excel in this position, applicants should have experience in supervising and managing small teams, ideally within organizations providing Social Care and/or Social Housing.
A strong understanding of residential day or community services for older people, extra care or home care services for older people, prevention or re-enablement services for older people, and relevant professional qualifications (e.g., Diploma in social care level 4/5 and/or Diploma in the Chartered Institute of Housing) are essential. Experience in housing management and maintenance, housing aid and advice, and working in a multi-disciplinary team is also desirable.
As a key member of the team, the Housing & Care Manager will collaborate with colleagues to ensure residents receive a high-quality and responsive housing and care service in a safe and secure environment. This includes providing support where necessary and encouraging independence and choice.
We offer a competitive salary of approximately £50,000 per annum, allowing employees to enjoy a better work-life balance. Our flexible working arrangement enables employees to choose between various options, including enjoying a three-day weekend. A full job specification is available upon request, and we encourage interested candidates to apply directly with their CV for immediate consideration.
