Responsibilities:



  • Provide tailored support to students with SEND, ensuring a positive, inclusive learning experience.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of personalised learning and behaviour management strategies.
  • Work alongside teachers and other staff to create an inclusive and nurturing learning environment.
  • Support students with their emotional, social, and academic development, encouraging independence and confidence.
  • Assist with daily activities, ensuring students feel supported and engaged.

Requirements:



  • Previous experience working in a SEND, or SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) setting is essential.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage challenging behaviour.
  • Patience, empathy, and resilience when working with vulnerable students.
  • Knowledge of diverse learning needs and strategies to support them effectively.
  • A good understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
  • A relevant qualification in education, childcare, or support work is desirable.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and adapt to the individual needs of students.
