Key Responsibilities:

  1. Sending out RFQs and negotiating pricing with suppliers.
  2. Placing orders with approved suppliers and managing Purchase Orders.
  3. Developing and maintaining positive relationships with suppliers to ensure best service and price.
  4. Liaising with Project Managers, Engineers, and Suppliers to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods and services.
  5. Resolving any issues or discrepancies related to purchasing and supply chain.
  6. Negotiating pricing and lead-times with Suppliers.
  7. Objectively measuring and communicating Supplier performance to support Supply Chain continuous improvement initiatives.
  8. Collaboration between Stores and Production functions.
  9. Identify opportunities for purchasing process improvement and cost reduction.
  10. Stay up to date on industry developments and best practices.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in purchasing is required.

Salary: £35,000 - £42,500 per year, depending on experience.
