Speech and Language Therapist Role

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver a clinical service for clients with complex needs, working closely with the multidisciplinary team.
  • Provide teaching and training to staff at the site, enhancing their skills and knowledge.
  • Participate in the planning, development, and evaluation of the Speech and Language Therapy service.
  • Receive expert clinical supervision and peer support, maintaining high standards of practice.

Your Qualifications and Skills

  • A Diploma or Degree in Speech and Language Therapy.
  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and membership with the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT).
  • Recognised skills in sign language, with training available for those who do not possess them.
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of the client population.
